In this talk, Corinne Blouin reflects on building a creative life through curiosity, chaos, and deep self-trust.
She traces her nonlinear path from graphic design to street art, DJing, energy work, and now tattoo apprenticeship, naming the pattern she calls her “panic jobs” and the constant return to making her own way. Drawing has always been her anchor, even as she moved through uncertainty and self-doubt.
Co speaks candidly about living with chronic pain and the “shadow” that follows her. Rather than defining it clinically, she shares how it shapes her relationship to her body and her work. Journals become refuge. Sketches become companions. Making becomes survival.
Through projects like her eight-foot sculptural alter-ego Energy Being and her Street Offering series, where she hides small paintings throughout the city for strangers to find, Co reveals her personal cycle of creativity: feel the shadow, create a container for it, release the work, connect with others, begin again. Art becomes both self-soothing and communal.
She closes by reframing success away from metrics and toward nervous system regulation, embodiment, and meaningful connection. Her message is simple and generous: art is not a luxury. It is a tool. And everyone has permission to use it.
